CERTIFICATION
Certifications are obtained through our national association and one of the central missions of NALS is to provide members and professionals from the legal community with education and opportunities to show their knowledge and dedication to the field through several legal certifications.
Certifications
To earn a certification, NALS members must prepare for and pass an examination, as well as continue to learn by receiving education credits through events, conferences, and other educational opportunities. NALS is proud of everyone who takes these steps and attains one of our certifications. There are three certifications given by the NALS Certifying Board. Certified Legal Support Professional (LSP)/formerly Accredited Legal Professional (ALP), Certified Legal Professionals (CLP)/formerly Professional Legal Secretary (PLS); Professional Paralegal (PP).
All individual certification exams are on hiatus. NALS is only administering the Certified Legal Support Professional (LSP) (former ALP) exam to school groups. We are not currently accepting new individual exam registrations.
